Iradukunda Liliane crowned Miss Rwanda 2018 for Miss World 2018

The regal coronation night of Miss Rwanda 2018 took place on 24th February 2018 at Kigali Convention Centre whereby the end Iradukunda Liliane was crowned Miss Rwanda 2018. She will now go on to represent Rwanda in Miss World 2018.

She was crowned by the reigning queen Miss Rwanda 2017 Elsa Iradukunda who handed over the crown. Elsa received a standing ovation as she put a step on stage for the last time as the reigning queen. She looked spectacular in a green gown.

Iradukunda Liliane is 18 years of age and stands tall at 170 cm. She is from the western province. Liliane wants to promote cultural tourism through her reign. She lives in Kigali, Rwanda currently.

Liliane had a heartfelt message for her ardent followers after she was crowned Miss Rwanda 2018 –

 

 

Iradukunda took home a brand new Suzuki Baleno courtesy of Rwanda Motors and will earn a monthly salary of Rwf800,000 in the next year, courtesy of Cogebanque.

She also received additional prizes that include air tickets to international beauty contests from RwandAir and cosmetics among other goodies from different sponsors.

The girls started the competition with an opening number in white gowns. They also performed traditional dances clad in traditional attire known as "Imishanana".

The judges of the night were Miss France 2000 Sonia Rolland, Rwabigwi Gilbert, Sandrine Isheja Buterav, Jolly Mutesi and Teddy Kaberuka.

Her court included –

1st runner-up – Umunyana Shanitah

2nd runner-up – Irebe Natacha Ursule
