Jastina Doreen Riederer crowned Miss Switzerland 2018

Miss Switzerland 2018 elections were a little different this year. Instead of the Top 10, this year saw 11 contestants on the final stage of Miss Switzerland 2018. The event was filled with pomp and glory, and the winner was crowned amidst cheering from a large crowd, and a beautiful ceremony.

The ceremony concluded with Jastina Doreen Riederer being crowned Miss Switzerland 2018. Jastina received the crown from Miss Switzerland 2015, Laetitia Guarino. Among the first to wish Jastina were former six winners of the Miss Switzerland crown. The new Miss Switzerland is being said to have a packed schedule for the next four days, adjusting into office, and commencing her duties.

Jastina Doreen Riederer is a 19-year-old retail specialist from Spreitenbach overpowered 10 competitors from all parts of the country and in the final selection against Karen Molinari and Michela Russo who was named the first and second runners-up, respectively.

Karen Molinari was also given the title of Miss Photogenic at the same ceremony. Her price package included a model contract and an exclusive photo shoot.

Before the big evening, the eleven beauties were specifically trained. In different camps, they learned how to pose correctly at photo shoots, to move properly in video and commercial shooting, what matters when working as an influencer, how to properly lead through an evening in the form of a moderation, intensive catwalk training and what answers have to be made in interviews. In the final step, the opponents received a complete makeover in the form of a makeover, which was not well received by every candidate, Beauty alone is no longer enough for today's Miss Switzerland.
