Miss Scotland 2018 is in full swing with its contestants being recently revealed. The coronation night of the competition will be held on June 15th at the Corinthian Club in Glasgow, where Miss Scotland 2017 Romy McCahill will crown her successor.

Jennifer Reoch will once again be hosting the Miss Scotland 2018 final, and Emily Middlemas will also repeat history by performing at the coronation night. The finalists just met as they took part in a special photo shoot for Airdrieshire Magazine.

However, it remains very important for the audiences to know the finalists before they can choose their favourites, and the Miss Scotland organization is helping us with it. They have revealed information about the finalists that you might find quite enticing.

So let’s find out more about Gemma Mcintosh from Airdrie, without further ado.

Gemma's chosen charity is Myotonic Dystrophy support group UK. The money raised will be going to Professor Darren Monckton in Glasgow who is doing research on this disability and has won awards such as Muscular Dystrophy UK’s 2017 Scientist of the Year!!

She choose this charity as her little cousin Mia who Gemma is very close to has this disability and has just turned 2 years of age. She would like to raise as much awareness and money towards it as her heart is very close to this charity.

In aid of this Gemma is going to do bag packing at her local B&M Bargains in Airdrie on the 9th June and a race night which will be held in St Patricks Chapel on Friday the 18th of May where there will be entertainment, buffet, raffle prizes and games to raise money. She has also set up a just giving page on her social media accounts for people to donate.

Gemma has done some truly phenomenal work, and seems to have genuinely great ideas for the future. Will Gemma be becoming your favourite Miss Scotland 2018 finalists soon?
