Miss Philippines Earth 2018 has over 40 contestants, selected out of thousands of applications. These earth warriors will fight for the crown that currently belongs to Miss Earth Karen Ibasco, and a winner will be crowned at the finale of Miss Philippines Earth 2018 on 19th May 2018 at MOA Arena.

The country can’t hold its excitement as this pageant will decide the successor of the international winner Miss Earth 2017 and Miss Earth Philippines 2017 Karen Ibasco.

The Filipina beauty Miss Philippines Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco took the pageant world by a pleasant surprise when she emerged the winner of the Miss Earth contest last year. She turned out to be the 4th beauty from the Philippines to be crowned this international pageant after Karla Henry in 2008, Jamie Herrell in 2014 and Angelia Ong in 2015.

The organization recently held the Miss Philippines Earth 2018 Cocktail Wear Competition, and the winner was awarded by giving a gold, silver, and bronze medal to the Top 3 ladies at the competition.

Similarly, the Miss Philippines Earth 2018 Talent Competition (Sing & Creative Category) also saw its winner being awarded in the same fashion.

And now it’s finally the turn of the Miss Philippines Earth 2018 Cultural Attire Competition, and the winners were announced on Miss Philippines Earth’s Facebook page.

The delegates have showed their creative and very detailed cultural costumes yesterday evening at Patio Victoria in Intramuros, Manila.

The judges who were present last night were known for their knowledge in the field of dressmaking and one of the panel was Eric Pineda.

The winners were:

Gold – Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay, Halimatu Yushawu

Silver – Cebu, Marla Alforque

Bronze - Balingasag, Misamis Oriental, Berjayneth Chee

The competition to fill in Karen Ibasco’s shoes is hard, but, the contestants are giving it their all. These sub contests become even more crucial in such a state, and the organization is surely selecting their winners very carefully.
