Noelle was crowned by Miss Scuba Philippines 2017 Sherlyn Legaspi Doloriel. During the preliminaries of the national pageant, Noelle was one of the Top 3 in the Evening Gown Competition and was the winner of Miss Marine Conversation. She is an anthropologist, environmentalist, entrepreneur and a trader by profession and has completed her studies from Texas State University with numerous degrees. Due to her profession, she gets to travel a lot, and she is completely in love with this occupational hazard.

The theme of this year’s Miss Scuba Philippines 2018 was ‘Saving Oceans Through Beauty’ and Noelle’s advocacy was the preservation and sustenance of marine eco tourism through coral rehabilitation and transplanting.

The new Filipina ocean goddess took to her social media to release the video of her Question and Answer round from the pageant and it showcases the level of confidence and clarity that Noelle has about the issues that the Philippines faces.

Gregg Han, the Founder and director of Best Alternatives Campaign asked Noelle, “What in your opinion is the best way to manage the growing flocks of tourists who have the power to spoil pristine Philippine beaches?”

Noelle started her answer by appreciating the beauty of the Philippines and continues by reminding the audience that her nation has the fifth largest archipelagic coastline in the world. She then gracefully answers the question by suggesting the incorporation of a “Three Party” movement between the local tourists, the local government units and the local communities to protect and save the environment and the natural resources of the nation through active involvement.

Noelle is truly an inspiration and her confidence and dedication towards her advocacy make her a very strong contestant. Along with that, the issue of ocean preservation and sustenance is very close to the heart because of the geographical positioning of her island nation, thus making her a viable delegate for the win.
