The finale of Miss Singapore International 2016 held on July 16’ 2016 at the SWA Charity Gala Dinner concluded with the crowning of Wanq Huiqi as the winner. Wanq Huiqi succeeds Roxanne Zhang and will now represent Singapore at the Miss International 2016 pageant.

In the 56 years history of Miss International pageant, only two Singaporean women have managed to enter the league of semi finalists, which was in the year 1960 and 1980. Singapore has been one of the dedicated countries at the Miss International pageant, having sent a delegate every year to the internationals since the year 1972. Wanq will now have the responsibility to not only perform well at the Miss International 2016 pageant, but to also make sure to give Singapore’s best performance ever at the pageant.
The young and beautiful Wang Huiqi is a student at the very prestigious National University of Singapore. Wanq battled out 15 other contestants to clinch the coveted title. At the same event, . Ischelle Koo was crowned as Miss Singapore Supranational 2016 and will now represent Singapore at the Miss Supranational 2016 pageant, and Ariel Xu won Miss Singapore Asia Pacific.
