Miss South Africa 2020 Top 15: Savannah Schutzler

Miss South Africa 2020, the 62nd edition of Miss South Africa, will host its annual edition virtually in the month of August where the next delegate to represent South Africa at international pageants will be crowned. South Africa’s performance at the international beauty pageants has been incredible as the divas have always proven their worth in the competition and with their remarkable performances, they have taken home multiple titles, especially in the recent years.

Rebuilt under ‘Face your power, embrace your future’, stunning beauties will compete for the crown and the opportunities to represent South Africa in Miss Universe 2020, Miss Supranational 2020 and Miss World 2020. Just recently, the Top 15 semi-finalists were revealed out of the 35 contestants who began their journey in the national competition. Savannah Mary Schutzler is one of the top 15 delegates who have been selected by the organization for the Miss South Africa 2020. Hailing from Rondebosch in the Western Cape, Savannah is 24-years-old and an actress who graduated with a BA Degree in Drama and Theatre Studies from Stellenbosch University. She then went to AFDA and graduated with honours in live performance. She has also completed a diploma in media makeup and styling.

Savannah is very passionate about representing South Africa at international level. In her introduction video, she explains that she wants to use the platform of Miss South Africa 2020 to raise awareness regarding mental health. Speaking from her own experience, she explains that conquering own’s mind and attitude has helped her a lot in defining herself as a strong, confident, and focused young woman. Her family live in Swaziland and she has one brother. She is an accomplished equestrian who doesn’t have a coccyx following a horse-riding accident. She has also expressed her gratitude towards her family and friends for always supporting and motivating her for following her passion and dreams.

She expressed her excitement via her social media by stating, “I am so honoured to be part of Miss South Africa Top 15. I am beyond excited and grateful. I started this as a learning experience that freed me up to be myself; open to learning and not trying to be perfect. I cannot say this has been my own doing, God has blessed me with opportunities which I never thought were possible which allows me to enjoy the journey of learning more about myself in a new world.”

Savannah is beautiful, confident, and focused towards her goals and dreams and is very proud of her culture and traditions. She would be a potential delegate to represent South Africa at international stage as she is strong opinionated, and determined to win the title. She makes sure she works on her body every day along with working on on-stage walk and communication skills. She can be a strong contender for the title.
