Miss South Africa 2020 Top 15: Shudufhadzo Musida

Miss South Africa 2020, the 62nd edition of Miss South Africa, will host its annual edition virtually in the month of August where the next delegate to represent South Africa at international pageants will be crowned. South Africa’s performance at the international beauty pageants has been incredible as the divas have always proven their worth in the competition and with their remarkable performances, they have taken home multiple titles, especially in the recent years.

Rebuilt under ‘Face your power, embrace your future’, stunning beauties will compete for the crown and the opportunities to represent South Africa in Miss Universe 2020, Miss Supranational 2020 and Miss World 2020. Just recently, the Top 15 semi-finalists were revealed out of the 35 contestants who began their journey in the national competition. Shudufhadzo Musida is one of the top 15 delegates who have been selected by the organization for the Miss South Africa 2020. Hailing from the city of Ha-Masia in Limpopo, Musida is 23-years-old and has a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Pretoria. She is currently doing a post-graduation Honours in International Relations at the University of Witwatersrand.

In her introduction video, Musida explains that she is very ambitious and passionate about representing South Africa at international level. She is very passionate about economic education and empowerment of women and children in the society and would love to use the platform to advocate about the same. She feels that the platform is huge and there are so many beautiful and intelligent divas out there who are competing for the title but this has not shaken or distracted her from her focus which is to perform her best at the competition and embrace her journey no matter what the result is. She stated, “there is a purpose that is bigger than me, a platform that could not only change my life, but also fulfil the interest to serve others with my life.”

Musida says her role models include Michelle Obama, Beyonce´, Toni Morrison, Dr. Phumzile Mlambo-Gcuka and Amina J. Mohammed. In her spare time, she reads, sings, and practices the keyboard. She believes that she has now accepted herself as she is and she couldn’t be happier. She has used her voice and platform to advocate about self-love and wants to include a huge number of people in her journey too. “I feel so blessed and excited to be a part of the Top 15, as the journey to this point alone has introduced me to myself and helped me refine my dreams through the opportunities it has presented me with. I find myself embracing myself more and embracing my voice every single day. I am truly excited for the journey that lies ahead,” the diva shared on her social media after being selected as the top 15 finalists for the title.

Musida is beautiful, confident, and focused towards her goals and dreams and is very proud of her culture and traditions. She would be a potential delegate to represent South Africa at international stage as she is strong opinionated, and determined to win the title. She makes sure she works on her body every day along with working on on-stage walk and communication skills. She can be a strong contender for the title.
