Just recently, the Top 15 semi-finalists were revealed out of the 35 contestants who began their journey in the national competition. Thato Mosehle is one of the top 15 delegates who have been selected by the organization for the Miss South Africa 2020. Hailing from the city of Klerksdorp in the North West, Thato is 25-years-old and works as a doctor as well as a professional model and has successfully maintained a balance between the two. She is also learning to finesse her makeup skills and loves to experiment with it. The diva explains that she is passionate to work for the people and advocating others to do the same. The reason she wants to be a part of Miss South Africa 2020 is because she strongly believes with the new motto of the organization; ‘Face your power, embrace your future’.

The diva is not new to pageantry as she has won numerous pageants which she started entering after a knee injury halted her ambition to be a Protea netball player. She loves burgers, enjoys knitting scarves, trying new recipes, watching make-up tutorials, and perfecting her make-up skills on herself and friends.

Thato is a strong, confident, and determined to represent her authentic self on Miss South Africa stage and feels that it would be privilege if she gets selected for the final round. She is very close to her country’s culture and would like to embrace that just like Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi. She looks up to her as her ideal and believes that she could be like her and follow the path Zozi has made for the women in South Africa.

She says: “What an honour. I’m overwhelmed with joy! I had already made my community proud by being part of the top 35, and now to be a top 15 semi-finalist is amazing!  I’m here because it’s simply my time. The journey has been exciting, a little challenging, but overall a course of self-discovery and realising what I can contribute to my country. I’m especially moved by how people, the majority being women, have cheered me on in pursuing my dreams.”

Thato is very particular about her fitness and health and makes sure she gets time to work out and eat healthy. She is very excited to be a part of such prestigious stage where she not only wants to prove her worth but also make her family proud. She is thankful to them for their immense support and motivation. She has worked with few but renowned designers and brands in South Africa which has helped her gain and experience in the field of beauty pageants. She usually takes up modelling classes and workshops to finesse her performance in future. She would be a potential delegate to represent South Africa at international stage as she is strong opinionated, and determined to win the title.
