The Miss South Africa organization has begun the search for the new queens as they opened the applications for this year’s edition. The entries for aspiring divas from all over the country will end on 30th April. The organization is all set to elect the divas who will represent the country at international platforms such as Miss World and Miss Universe. The reigning Miss South Africa 2021 Lalela Mawane will crown her successor at the end of the event.

As the entries of aspiring divas have opened, one diva is all set to break beauty stereotypes. Zoey Seboe has applied for the national pageant, as the model with lamellar Ichthyosis aims at representing a fair representation of diversity and inclusion.

Lamellar ichthyosis is a condition that mainly affects the skin. Infants with this condition are typically born with a tight, clear sheath covering their skin called a collodion membrane. Zoey wants everyone to put an emphasis on raw beauty of human existence and believes that everyone is unique in their own way.

22 years-old Zoey is a final year student of Bachelor of Commerce in law and a firm believer in the beauty of contrast. As a part of the Models of Authenticity community, the diva believes, “Be like an Ocean, even when man gets liters of water out of it they cannot dry it out. Let not what people do to you and speak of you change you. Let it not turn you into what you are not. Remain the best of who you are. The Ocean You. After all you are a puzzle that only you can solve. Be a puzzle that is solved only by the owner.”

As a unique beauty, the diva will not only make people around the world aware but also most definitely redefine beauty standards. She is strong, driven and is set to create history in the industry as she is  a potential candidate for the title this year.
