Former delegates returning for Miss South Africa 2022

The Miss South Africa organisation has launched the search for new queens by launching the application process for this year's competition. The organisation is getting ready to choose the divas who will represent the country at international competitions like Miss World and Miss Universe. At the end of the event, Lalela Mawane, the current Miss South Africa 2021, will crown her successor.

As the applications were closed on 30th April, the organization witnessed the return of four former delegates who are back for some unfinished business at the pageant. So, without any further ado, here are the divas who have confirmed a comeback for Miss South Africa 2022 –

Nompumelelo Mampholo

Mampholo was a delegate at Miss South Africa 2017 and finished among the Top 12 at the end of the competition. 26 years-old Nompumelelo hails from Diepkloof in Soweto. The diva is a real-estate agent and a shareholder in Conquerors, which is a youth-based waste management and recycling company. She is extremely passionate about environmental economics as well as property development and would love to use this platform to educate, spread awareness and actively engage the communities around the country on climate-change issues.

 

 

Chuma Chule Uphokuhle

Uphokuhle was a delegate at Miss South Africa 201 and was placed in the Top 10 finalists. 24 years-old Chuma hails from Nyanga, Cape Town and holds a BA Degree at UCT majoring in anthropology, industrial sociology, and political studies. She works as fashion model and a student working towards attaining her honours degree in anthropology at UCT. The diva is passionate about societal issues and has worked with many organizations to support these issues.

 

 

Bianca Bezuidenhout

Bianca was among the Top 5 court of the Miss South Africa 2021 pageant. She is 23-years-old and is currently pursuing an honours degree in media studies. She is also a dance instructor and the business owner of her swimwear brand, ‘She Succeeds’. She is passionate about beauty pageants and feels excited to be back at Miss South Africa 2022. She is making a comeback as she believes that change always starts with a decision and to fulfil not only her dreams but the dreams she saw for the youth of the country. She is a leader who recognizes her role and duty to speak up, stand up, and show up in order to collectively generate change for the future generation.

 

 

Lebogang Mahlangu

Lebogang was a delegate at Miss South Africa 2020 and finished among the Top 5 finalists. 26 years-old Leboang hails from Soshanguve and is passionate about the country and it’s potential. She believes that her purpose is to encourage women to keep playing their parts towards actualizing this potential, aiming to drive social change. She is passionate and very strongly feels the urge to bring in the change in the society even if it is in her society and wants to use her skills of an entrepreneur to do so.
