The Miss Universe Puerto Rico organization has officially launched this year’s edition with the screening for the search of the new queen to represent the country at the Miss Universe 2022 pageant. The country has been consistently producing some of the finest beauty queens in pageantry and has been placing among the top ranks at major beauty pageants.

The audition for Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2022 was held on 30th April, as the weekend witnessed stunning and aspiring divas from all over the country showcase their skills and passion for the title this year. While the screening saw some of familiar, strong and potential faces, Miss Florida USA 2021 and Miss USA 2021 second runner-up Ashley Ann Carino was also spotted at the casting.

27 years-old Ashley is a psychosocial rehabilitator, model, and beauty queen who is of Puerto Rican descent. She studied aerospace engineering at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, and works as a psychosocial rehabilitator at Insight Behavioral Health Specialists in Kissimmee.

The diva is a strong, confident, and beautiful woman who is now aspiring to represent Puerto Rico at the international stage. She believes that beauty pageants have opened various opportunities for women to work on themselves along with working for society, and she is honored to be a part of this journey.

The jury panel at the auditions included, Yizette Cifredo, Javierivan, Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2020 Estefania Torres, Sara Pastor, Clark Ivor and the reigning Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2021 Michelle Marie Colon. Michelle represented Puerto Rico at Miss Universe 2021 last year, where she finished among the Top 10 finalists.
