Miss South Africa 2022, 64th edition of Miss South Africa, will be held in August 2022. Lalela Mswane of KwaZulu-Natal will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The winner will represent South Africa at either Miss Universe 2022, Miss World 2022 or Miss Supranational 2023.

The organization announced Top 30 delegates who have begun their journey at the national contest. In a series of features, lets know more about these delegates. Fortunate Mabeleng, from Potchefstroom in the Free State, has made it to Top 30.

Fortunate Mabeleng is 25 years of age and a forensic science graduate from the University of the Free State. She also works as a tutor and part-time reception administrator at MediClinic in Potchefstroom.

Fortunate is currently training to be a Forensic Officer at Northwest Forensic Pathology. “I want to be a Forensic Pathologist with the hope of solving deaths that are not gender-based related as well as help lessen the number of unsolved murder cases in our country”, she states.

Fortunate considers herself an optimistic person, smiling even in tough times. A hard worker, Fortunate is always on time, loves coffee and keeps her faith in god. Take a look at the entry video of Fortunate for Miss South Africa 2022 –

“I cannot emphasize enough how this is one of my favorite verses about strength! Often we think, I’ll do it when I am not so afraid. But in reality it works the other way round. The “doing it” comes before the fear goes away. The only way to get rid of the fear of doing something is to go out and do it”, she captioned.

Fortunate is definitely a strong contender for the national crown as she works with determination, sincerity and maintains her faith in God. It’s a huge responsibility for the beauty queen making it to Top 30 and if she keeps up the good work, she will make it to the Top.
