Miss South Africa organization, through their official social media, announced the Top 12 contestants who will be vying for the Miss South Africa 2023 crown. The finale is scheduled to be held at Sun International's flagship venue, the SunBet Arena at Time Square, Pretoria, on Sunday, 13th August 2023.

The panel who selected the Top 12 are former Miss South Africa Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala (2010), who has served before as a judge; Nobukhosi Nkosi, the award-winning fashion designer and stylist who is the brains behind the brand Khosi Nkosi and CEO of the Miss South Africa Organisation, Stephanie Weil.

The winner of the People's Vote was Lungo Katete from Midrand, who has a master’s in architecture from the University of the Witwatersrand. Here are the Top 12 contestants competing for Miss South Africa 2023 are Ané Oosthuysen, Anke Rothmann, Bryoni Govender, Homba Mazaleni, Jordan van der Vyver, Keaoleboga Nkashe, Lebohang Raputsoe, Levern 'Donnatella' José, Lungo Katete, Melissa Nayimuli, Nande Mabala, Natasha Joubert.

Miss South Africa 2023 is the 65th edition of the national pageant. Ndavi Nokeri of Limpopo will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The winner will go on to represent South Africa at Miss Universe 2023 and/or Miss Supranational 2024.
