Dr Shatakshi, a bachelor of homeopathic medicine and surgery from Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, has been crowned Miss South Asia World 2020 which was conducted virtually. The finale was held on 14th December 2020 keeping all the covid-19 guidelines in mind.

She competed with delegates from other countries and made her county proud by bringing the title home. Not just the Miss South Asia World 2020 crown, Shatakshi also won Miss Radiant beauty and 2nd runner-up Talent round.

She took to her official social media to reveal her emotions in a post captioned, “Finally crowned as Miss South Asia World 2020 and even won 2 subtitles - Miss Radiant Beauty and 3rd Runner Up for Talent Round. I hope I could make my country proud as well. Thank you Rashmi Bedi Janak Bedi for believing in me and letting me carry the legacy forward. You both have been a great support to me. And thank you Eva India for supporting me and pushing me forward to be a part of this pageant.”

“And I even thank my family, friends and my professional colleagues who have supported me throughout and been there for me during my journey. I will try my best to make each one of you proud and i will carry the crown in my heart. Thank you so much”, she added.

Shatakshi strongly believes life isn’t a bed of roses, so falling down is a part of life. Apart from being a doctor, she is passionate about dancing and is equally active in sports. She is also not new to the pageantry, as she first participated in Miss Punjab in 2018 and went on to participate in Miss North India 2019 where she was crowned the new queen. Shatakshi, then went on to participate in Eva India 2019 where she was crowned Eva India 2019 second runner-up and also won Miss Beautiful Eyes.
