Abigail Merschman is the new representative of South Dakota in Miss USA 2019 which is to be held next year. She was crowned the winner on 24th September 2018 and now has the chance to become Miss Universe USA 2019.

Abigail is 22 years of age and this is the first time ever that she participated in a beauty pageant. Her decision has surely given her the chance of a lifetime. But, she is not new to the stage as Abigail has had dreams to make it big in the music and acting industry since she was a child and when she became the 1st runner-up singer & actress of the year at the International Models & Talent Association, she jumped at the chance to broaden her horizons and left for Los Angeles.

This winner from South Dakota is all set to finish her Journalism degree and is also busy writing for ‘Shaped Sovereignty’, a website that she owns. Her free time is spent outdoors horse riding and wake-boarding. Abigail has surely managed to make the most out of her time and life.

Abigail worked as a digital content specialist for Montgomery's furniture which helped her learn about many aspects of digital marketing, like web design, e-commerce, and social media marketing. This gave her the courage to participate in Miss South Dakota USA this year as she had another plan in mind.

Abigail was diagnosed with endometriosis, which hindered a lot of her plans in life and now she is inspired to help and educate women about the risks of not catching endometriosis. Another thing that she wants to focus on is to encourage women to speak up in case something feels wrong in their body.

Abigail has the heart, soul and mind of a true beauty queen and she will definitely take her state forward during the finale of Miss USA 2019.
