South Africa is all set to compete in Miss Supranational 2019 under Leyla Van Greuning’s delegation as she has been recently crowned Miss Supranational South Africa 2019. The beauty succeeds and was handed over the crown by 2018 Belinde Schreuder Miss Supranational South Africa.

The newly crowned queen is 20 years of age and stands 170 cm tall. Besides being a beauty queen, Leyla is also a part-time marketing student and a sports coach. She enjoys modelling and describes the ramp as her ‘Happy Place’. She describes herself as optimistic, determined, vivacious, motivated, dedicated, kind and caring.

The gorgeous beauty enjoys travelling, socializing, baking and exercising. Her aim in life is to promote the power of optimism and follows the mantra ‘Good or Bad day – Choice is yours!’. Also, she aspires to lift the spirits forge the self-esteem of children, focusing on those with fatal diseases. Leyla dreams of bringing hope to her country and is constantly seeking opportunities to do so.

Miss Supranational 2019 will be the 11th edition of Miss Supranational pageant, which will be hosted later this year in Poland, where various national delegates from across the country will compete for the international crown. Valeria Vázquez Miss Supranational 2018 from Puerto Rico will crown her successor at the conclusion of the finale.

Last year, Belinde Schreuder represented South Africa at Miss Supranational 2018 pageant but unfortunately could not secure a win at the pageant. Thus, Leyla will have pressure on her to secure a spot in the finale.
