On 10th March 2020, Miss Supranational 2019 Anntonia Porsild with Mr. Andre Sleigh, Vice President of Miss Supranational arrived at Tan Son Nhat airport to commence their journey and promote the image of Vietnam. This program is an important one as the members of the contest will travel around the world to the countries where the contestants take the pictures, filming beautiful pictures of these countries and promoting their images to the world.
During their visit in Vietnam, the reigning Miss Supranational and Mr. Andre Sleigh carried an important responsibility, which is to announce ‘Leading Media’ officially became the copyright holder for the contest in 2020. The two were welcomed by Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 Hoàng Thi Thùy at the airport.
In addition, if reports and sources are to be believed then the move to welcome Miss Supranational of Hoang Thuy is a signal that the beauty will represent Vietnam at this year's competition. Hoang is well experienced in the beauty pageant field and if she is going to represent Vietnam at Miss Supranational 2020 then, it will be a treat to watch her on-stage.
Hoang is 27-years-old and stands 180 cm tall with a major’s degree in Industrial design from Hanoi Architectural University. She stepped in the beauty pageant world when she decided to participate in the second season of Vietnam’s Next Top Model in 2012 and continued to pursue modeling afterwards. She later enrolled at Central Saint Martins in London to pursue Fashion Designing. By profession, this diva is a fashion Model and works with the PRM Model Agency.
Hoang signed up for Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 and was selected to be a part of such prestigious beauty pageant. Even though she was one of the favorites, she was adjudged the crown as first runner-up and People’s Choice Award. She was later appointed to represent Vietnam at Miss Universe 2019. “Hoang Thuy stands out as the most fitting choice to compete at Miss Universe 2019 because she has the beauty, experience, maturity and fearlessness to take over the baton from H’Hen Nie,” the organizers of Miss Universe Vietnam said in a statement.
She is the founder of the WE (Women Empowerment), a non-profit organization, in conjunction with educational organizations. She is the ambassador of WomenWill, a group whose mission is to help women and school-girls amplify the role of women in society and teach them skills so they can be independent. She is also the ambassador for the 'I Choose to Live Green' project of Nam A Bank, a project setup to raise people's awareness of environment protection.
She is strong, confident and very well-versed with her performance on stage. She has been dedicated to win the title for her home country make it proud. She could be a fitting choice for representing Vietnam at Miss Supranational 2020 with her experience in the field and her hardworking attitude. Although there has not been an official announcement from the copyright holder, Hoang Thuy has received warm support from international fans. She is the first and only Vietnamese model to appear in famous British magazines, as well as regularly appearing on the catwalks of London Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week. Hoang Thuy is considered one of the most successful Vietnamese models on the international stage beside Tuyet Lan and Trang Khieu.
In particular, the Vice President of the Miss Supranational Pageant said that he and the Organizing Committee really love Vietnam and hope that in the nearest time, they will host Miss Supranational in Vietnam.
