Lesotho is all set to make a grand entry at Miss Supranational 2023 as Lerato Pitso is currently preparing to represent her country at the international pageant. Miss Supranational 2023, the 14th edition of Miss Supranational, will be held in July 2023 where Lalela Mswane of South Africa will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

Lerato Pitso has completed her bachelor’s degree in social sciences (majoring in Criminology and Sociology). She hopes to work for the United Nations, focusing on the social development of the youth and development strategies for Africa.

Lerato moved houses a lot when she was growing up because of her mother’s passing, depending on who volunteered to take care of her. Her #fromthegroundupcsi project is called 'Safe Space' and it endeavors to introduce children from challenging backgrounds to activities that will deter them from conflicting with the law.

Lerato believes that people always have the resources to do something good in the world. ““I don’t have the resources to make my dreams come true.” We always have the resources. In my case, being a fast learner is a resource. So I’m always improving my skills to prepare for opportunities that are oftentimes not even visible yet. Do what you can with what you have. Someone is always watching”, she quotes.

Lerato succeeds Miss Supranational Lesotho 2022 Boitumelo Sehlotho who represented Lesotho at Miss Supranational 2022 but remained unplaced. The country is yet to pioneer its win at Miss Supranational.
