Katherine Isabella Burgos Reyes is Miss Supranational Nicaragua 2023 who is currently preparing to represent her country at Miss Supranational 2023. Born in Managua, Nicaragua into a humble family, Katherine was always encouraged to be independent since she was a child which allowed her to become self-sufficient to the point of graduating high school and college with honors.

With all the support from her parents, Katherine was able to pursue her dreams in the arts and graduate from Justo Rufino Garay Theater School and is currently pursuing her dreams as an actress. She currently works as an art assistant in an audiovisual production company. She has also been part of the organizing committee of the ICARO film festival in Central America and has been a Telethon volunteer for three years, recently becoming an official ambassador.

Katherine also had the opportunity to bring the talent of her theater through the project ‘Multiplying Theater Capacities’ and teach children from her country in public schools and small communities, where education is limited, and show them the importance of expressing themselves and learning to feel safe.

Katherine had to go find the courage to compete at Miss Nicaragua, considering that she was criticized for being ‘short’ or ‘fat’. She demonstrated with great effort that, as long as you put your mind and heart into being authentic, you can achieve anything and ended up placing as 1st runner-up where she won the opportunity to be assigned with the title of Miss Supranational Nicaragua 2023. Nigeria is making a comeback at Miss Supranational this year.
