The Nuestra Belleza Puerto Rico organization hosted the coronation ceremony for the 2022 edition on 6th June 2022 where stunning delegates from all over the country competed to be crowned yesterday, Sunday, as the new sovereigns of the Puerto Rican beauty of Nuestra Belleza Puerto Rico 2022. At the end of the event, Ariette Banchs of Ponce was crowned Miss Supranational Puerto Rico 2022.

Ariette is a biology and microbiology student who feels very close to her hometown and the people of her hometown. The diva walks gracefully and like a true beauty queen on-stage which is why she is a renowned model in Puerto Rico. She is strong and confident and can definitely be a strong contender for the international title.

Ariette is not new to pageantry as she participated in Miss Teen World Puerto Rico 2016 and was also a part of Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2020. Apart from that, she has worked and walked on-stage for several designers and photographers which has earned her some experience and confidence to make her performance powerful and increase her chances to win the title.

Ariette aspires to be a successful and a positive role model for women out there across the globe just like the ones she has grown up to. She wants women especially young girls to feel powerful, motivated and encourages to follow their dreams. She strongly believes that when someone gets a little push towards their career or dream, they work very hard for it and she wants to boost up the girls’ self-esteem and confidence.

Other queens crowned at the gala night were Oxana Rivera of Dorado and Paola González Torres of San Sebastian who were crowned Miss Grand Puerto Rico 2022 and Miss International Puerto Rico 2022 respectively. The court for Nuestra Belleza Puerto Rico 2022 included –

Second finalist – Miss Arroyo Lissette Santiago

Third finalist – Miss Caguas Jaimar Cruz

Fourth finalist – Miss Río Grande Lityaret Hernández

Ariette succeeds Miss Supranational Puerto Rico 2021 Karla Guilfú Acevedo who was adjudged as the first runner-up at the Miss Supranational 2021 pageant. Banchs will be representing Puerto Rico at Miss Supranational 2022, the 13th edition of the international pageant, all set to return to the city of Nowy Sacz in the Malopolska region this June and July.
