The organization of Miss Supranational Rwanda crowned Anitha Kate as the new Miss Supranational Rwanda 2021 at the coronation ceremony held at Century Park Hotel, Nyarutarama on 13th March 2021. Kate succeeds Miss Supranational Rwanda 2019 Shanita Umunyan for the title.

Anitha Kate is 20-years-old and is doing Information Management at the Adventist University of Central Africa (AUCA). She is excited to represent her country at Miss Supranational 2021 and shared that she had the dream of being a beauty queen since she was young.

The diva took to her social media account to share the news, “I still can’t believe it. It feels genuinely amazing being crowned Miss Supranational Rwanda 2021. A true testimony and proof that God’s never late. Thank you everyone but most especially my family and Friends, thank you for believing in me and for supporting me!!! It truly means the world to me and I am super excited to represent Rwanda in the coming months at Miss Supranational 2021 and put our country in the top. I promise to work hard during my reign!”

Miss Supranational Rwanda 2021 Umuratwa Anitha’s court includes:

First runner-up: Uwase Denyse

Second runner-up: Princess Carine

Umuratwa is not new to the world of beauty pageant as she was a contender at Miss Rwanda 2019 but unfortunately, she couldn’t win it but the spirits in her never settled and she applied for Miss Supranational Rwanda 2021. She further mentioned that beauty pageants are all about being yourself and avoiding what others want you to do because when you act the way you’re not, there are things you don’t do yet they might be among things that would help you win the crown. She mentioned that even though she was not able to win the crown last year, she learned to be herself and at Miss Supranational Rwanda 2021, she managed to be sharp, friendly, and confident about herself.

The diva is hardworking and determined towards her goals and the crown above her head is that proof. “I worked hard for this crown since the beginning, I’ve put a lot of effort into this, I’ve really done my best and, when I sit back, I attribute this crown to hard work,” she mentioned. Kate also shared that she was afraid of losing again but the fear of losing turned out to be one of the motivations for her to keep going and proving that she is not a failure. The diva is planning to use the platform to do something good for the children and is in the process of planning things out as an official project.

Umuratwa is focusing on winning the title of Miss Supranational 2020/2021 in order to make the people of Rwanda proud. She wants the people across the world to recognise Rwanda as a country that produces brilliant young women ready to challenge at the international level. She has started to prepare herself for the competition and is aiming to perform her best.
