Jenelle Thongs crowned Miss Supranational Trinidad and Tobago 2020

Representing the community of Morvant at the competition, Jenelle Thongs was crowned Miss Supranational Trinidad and Tobago 2020 on 1st November 2020 and will be representing the country at Miss Supranational 2020 stage. The diva has succeeded Miss Supranational Trinidad and Tobago 2019 Yia-Loren Gomez for the title and is very excited to take over the crown duties along with preparing herself for the competition.

Hailing from the community of Morvant, Jenelle is 28-years-old and is pursuing BSc. Biology at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus and works as a practice manager at Smile Inn Dental. Miss Supranational Trinidad and Tobago 2020 Jenelle Thongs’ court includes:

First Runner-up: Miss Couva 2020 Samanta Ramkarran

Second Runner-up: Miss Cocoyea 2020 Ariana Thomas

This well-rounded young woman has a vast range of beauty pageant experience but more outstanding than that, is her love for entrepreneurship since she owns and manages Carnipacks and is the founder of her own charitable organization - Let’s Each One Reach One. The diva believes that her community is filled with people who are resilient and have always tried to rise from the hardships they face and she is very proud of representing them. In her introduction video, Jenelle had mentioned that she feels immensely proud that not only her family and friends support her but the people in her community have always had her back which is one of the reasons she puts her best because this is her way of giving them back for always supporting and motivating her.

The diva is now working on developing a Community Service Initiative to help teach Venezuelan migrants conversational English Language whilst helping locals to learn conversational Spanish to #bridgethegap between cultures and peoples. After winning the crown, she took to her social media to thank everyone who has helped her and stated, “To inspire and be inspired. This is the goal. This is the mantra. This is the pledge. I am so humbled to have this extraordinary opportunity to represent my beloved twin isle at Miss Supranational. To be inducted into a fraternity of substance and greatness. Miss Supranational Trinidad and Tobago thank you will never be enough. As I said from day one, I am ready, open, and willing. And as we journey together, I pray that goodness follows us till the end. To my family, friends, and supporters; this would not be possible without you. For comforting me and pushing me and seeing greatness in me to be your queen even before coronation. I love you.”

Jenelle is very excited to take over the crown duties and start preparing herself for the pageant where she will be representing her country on an international stage. She mentioned, “I hope to make you proud before, during and after. Your ambassador till the end.” She is strong, confident, and focused towards her goal and with her strong personality she can be a strong contender for the title.
