New Jersey’s beauty queen UmaSofia Srivastava was crowned Miss Teen USA 2023 at the finale of the national competition held on 28th September 2023 at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada.
UmaSofia Srivastava is 16 years of age of Mexican-Indian descent. The stunning beauty beat 50 other contestants to win the national crown. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Teen USA 2022 Faron Medhi of Nebraska. Aside from winning the national title, she also bagged the Best in Costume award.
The newly crowned Miss Teen USA 2023 UmaSofia Srivastava’s court included –
1st Runner-up – Stephanie Skinner of New York
2nd Runner-up – Maggie Ross of Pennsylvania
3rd Runner-up – Haylee Puckett of Texas
4th Runner-up – Carolina Sola of Ohio
UmaSofia Srivastava is a high school student from Morris Plains, New Jersey. She also owns a blog ‘That's Fan Behavior’ where she talks about important topics such as feminism and also covers interviews with influential people and her own experiences as a woman of colour.
Aside from the winner and her court, the Top 20 also consisted of delegates from Illinois, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, DC, Washington, Iowa, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Missouri, North Dakota, Georgia, California, Utah and Rhode Island.
