The stunning six feet tall beauty from Boca Chica, Ingrid Maurice Franco, was crowned as the winner of Miss Earth Dominican Republic 2017 at the finale of the event held last night at Hotel Barceló Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She will now represent the Dominican Republic in the Miss Earth 2017 beauty pageant to be held on November 4' 2017 in the Philippines.

She succeeds Nicole Jimeno Morel, Miss Earth Dominican Republic 2016. Ingrid is 256 years of age and has previously represented the Dominican Republic in Miss Supranational 2015, though remained unplaced in the finals.

Twenty contestants representing the same number of provinces competed for the title and the crown, with Ingrid emerging as the final winner.

The highest placement Dominican Republic received in Miss Earth pageant was in the year 2005, when Amell Yoselin finished as the first runner-up in Miss Earth 2005. Do you think Ingrid will be able to better that achievement?
