INTERVIEW -
Q. How does it feel to be Miss Tourism World Philippines 2018 and now a delegate of Miss Tourism World 2018?
I feel ecstatic and over-whelmed because I never thought I'll be given a chance to represent the whole country of Philippines for Miss Tourism World 2018.
Q. How would you like to represent yourself at the international stage of Miss Tourism World 2018?
I would like to represent myself at the international stage of Miss Tourism World 2018 as a Filipina with a strong personality but has a soft heart.
Q. What inspired you to the world of pageantry?
My advocacy and the people who I think that will benefit from it is the thing that inspired me to the world of pageantry. I would love to promote my advocacy which focuses mainly on the emotional well-being of the people specifically, depression.
Q. Who is your role model, if any, and what values of his or her do you wish you could inculcate in your own life, and teach the next generation?
My role model will be Oprah Winfrey. She is an embodiment of a strong woman. A woman who has been through a lot of struggles but still manages to stand and pick herself up, and to be a successful woman globally. I want to be like her that in spite of all the struggles in life, she still became successful and was able to inspire a lot of people through her story. I want the next generation to have her personality traits as being strong and a fighter for life.
Q. You were also a delegate of Miss World Philippines 2017 where you advocated about the emotional well-being of children. Would you like to tell us about your advocacy?
My advocacy when I joined Miss World 2017 was about the emotional wellbeing of the children, focuses mainly on the Abuse. Giving them proper care and guidance through psychiatric matters and/or providing them proper homes they deserve to have. But now, I really want to focus on something that more of us will benefit from it, not only the younger ages but rather all of the ages and this is about depression. Depression has been rampant nowadays. A lot of people suffered from it and a lot lives have been taken because of it. As a beauty queen, I really want to take a big part of that change. I want to provide them proper emotional guidance they will need to conquer it.
Q. It’s a well-believed notion and rightly so, that The Philippines is a hub of pageant queens and winners. Does that add more pressure to give a good performance?
It has always been a pressure to everyone to do great in the world of pageantry. Of course, every one of us wanted to feel well-deserved on the title that is given to us.
Q. If you could be invisible for a day, how would you like to spend it?
If I could be invisible for a day, I would like to spend it by seeing the people who truly care about me, the ones who will genuinely cry for me if I will be gone.
Q. Would you like to share your most special childhood memory with us?
My most special childhood memory was playing the old-time Filipino games like piko, tumbrang press, luksong baka and more. I am proud to say that at least I have given a chance to play these kind of games before because children nowadays focus on the virtual world of games.
Q. What or who empowers you to be yourself and work hard every day?
What empowers me the most is my family. I really wanted to make them proud of me.
Q. What is the one thing you can label as your guilty pleasure?
My guilty pleasure will be eating seafood. I am allergic to it but it is my favourite. So how can I resist?
Q. We’re sure that this competition is another milestone in your life. What is that one thing that you ultimately want to achieve?
My main goal now is to at least win the title of Miss Tourism World 2019 for the whole Philippines.
Q. If you are granted three wishes right now, what would you ask for?
If I will be granted three wishes right now, that will be, first is having a lifetime with my family. I do not want them to be dead. I really want to spend forever with them, specially with my parents. Second will be world peace. I hope wars will be ended and no more lives will be taken. And lastly, cure for all the sickness so that people who have limited life line will be able to spend more time with their families and loved-ones.
Q. Lastly, is there any message that you would like to give to your fans of Angelopedia?
It has been an honor for me to be supported by such talented people from Angelopedia. I really want you guys to be more proud of me if I have given a chance to at least win the title of Miss Tourism World 2019. I love you! Please continue to support me on my journey.
