The coronation ceremony of Miss Utah USA 2020 was held on 18th January 2020 at the Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City, Utah. Rachel Slawson of Park City was crowned Miss Utah USA 2020 by the end of the event finale and she will be representing Utah at the Miss USA 2020. Rachel succeeded Miss Utah USA 2019 Amanda Giroux.
Rachel Slawson is not new the pageantry as she has previously represented Park City at Miss Sundance USA 2019 but unfortunately couldn’t win the title. The diva’s dedication towards the title didn’t stop her from competing this year as well and to her luck she won the title. She has also participated in various other beauty pageants and her experience will help her at Miss USA 2020 competition.
For Rachel Slawson, the women who do beauty pageants are fearless, self-motivated and strong and she strongly believes in these qualities. She explained that she has learnt that beauty is completely subjective. Therefore, the best investment a woman can make is on her self-care habits, education, passions and personal mission.
Rachel is an advocate for Mental Health Awareness as she was diagnosed with Depression and Bipolar, she wants to help normalize the stigma around mental health and will be advocating about the cause more. She wants to use the platform and advocate about the mental health to a point where no one feels uncomfortable talking about how they feel.
Rachel is beautiful, confident and a strong contestant for the title of Miss USA 2020. She is one of the people who not use tips and techniques to motivate themselves but help others too. The contestants as well as the judging panel appreciate Rachel’s positivity onstage and backstage. She has not only working on herself but she posts pictures along with beautiful and meaningful captions on her social media to aware the people about self-love and what keeps her going on a daily basis.
Rachel has started to prep herself for the Miss USA 2020 and is absolutely confident that she can win the title. Rachel’s persuasive communication skill will help her during the competition and she can emerge as one of the strongest contestants for the title.
Rachel Slawson wore a beautiful blue colored evening gown for the final round before her crowning and she looked absolutely stunning. Her court includes first runner-up Mackenzie Carter, second runner-up Natalie Moesinger, third runner-up Alexa Knutzen and fourth runner-up Maddie Jonely.
Brooklynn Baton of Box Elder County was crowned Miss Teen Utah USA 2020 and will be representing Utah at Miss Teen USA 2020. Brooklynn’s court included first runner-up Alta Tabar, second runner-up Katie Jameson, third runner-up Whitney Reber and fourth runner-up Savannah Volmrich.
