Miss Ukraine beauties are taking the Beauty With a Purpose motto to the heart, and doing as much as they can to save a little boy’s life. Miss Ukraine believes that beautiful women have magical powers, they always attract attention and influence public opinion. Beauty should have a goal, be an example for others.

On January 24, 2018, a 13-year-old boy, Bolibrukh Vitaly, who was born on May 4, 2005, was consulted at the Institute of Heart of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Vitaly needs an endovascular closure of the defect with a Nit-Occlud PDA kit, the cost of which is 72,760 UAH. Vitaly was born and grew up in a large family, where he is also brought up by two younger brothers, a 6-year-old Roman and 5-year-old Valentin.

Miss Ukraine joined hands with one of the best cardio surgeons in Ukraine, Boris Mikhailovich Todurov, who has been conducting daily from 5 to 12 complicated operations every day. He operates newborns with a weight of 600 grams, performs unique heart transplant operations.

The cost of surgery for the heart of the child, depending on the level of complexity, costs an average of about 200 000 UAH: expensive drugs, equipment, maintenance in intensive care. Most of these funds for children are paid by the state, but in the case when expensive consumables are needed, their entire cost rests on the shoulders of parents or guardians. In a year about 5 thousand children are born with heart defects. The Heart Institute, whose general director is Boris Mikhailovich, ranks 1st in the number of operations conducted. Most parents do not have the opportunity to pay for the operation of the child. Doctors make every effort to find funding. The life of such children is in the hands of good people, funds and companies that help the department.
