Sushrii Shreya Mishraa from India wins the Best National Costume Award at Miss United Continents 2015

 

The Miss United Continents 2015 pageant is just a week away from its finale and the thrill and excitement is at a constant rise. The delegates competing for the crown are all pepped up and prepared for the main event and are leaving no stones unturned to make their niche at the pageant. Amidst all the other Preliminary Competitions going on, the recent event held was National Costume competition. And the winners of National Costume competition are –

First Place - India (Sushrii Shreya Mishraa) - The Lotus Princess of Indian Literature on her peacock pedestal. Designer: Melvyn Noronha.
Second Place - China (Ting Wang) - Queen Ze Tian. Designer: Adam Lee.
Third Place - Japan (Anri Okane) - Kimono. Designer: Chunying Guo.

 

Sushrii Shreya Mishraa from India wins the Best National Costume Award at Miss United Continents 2015

 

The contestants paraded flaunting their national costumes, depicting a theme that gave an insight to their nation and its history. Sushrii from India wore a grand prolific costume depicting a Lotus princess of Indian Literature extending onto a peacock pedestal. This was a back to back win for India at National Costume round as last year Gail Nicole Da Silva won the subtitle for India under the same designer, Melvyn Dominic Noronha. With Sushrii’s win at the National Costume round, fans are elated and excited and are cheering up out and loud for the crown this year.
