Filipina Sarah Jireh Cruz Asido was crowned Miss United Continents Philippines 2018 at the conclusion of the Jewel of The Philippines 2017 pageant on 9th October 2017. She will now represent Philippines at the Miss United Continents 2018 pageant scheduled to be held in Ecuador on 8th September this year.

Sarah is not new to the pageant world and has been a recognized face in the Philippines pageantry circuit. She has been part of major pageants like Binibining Pilipinas and also been crowned from her region. She first tried her luck at the Binibining Pilipinas 2014 pageant when she was crowned Binibining Bulacan Turismo 2013. Before taking part in the pageant, Sarah was a High School Teacher at PBC Sunbeam School INC.

After losing the ultimate title of Binibining Pilipinas 2014, Sarah went back to her teaching job at her former high school. However, she tried her luck once again at the title in 2017 when she became a contestant of Binibining Pilipinas 2017. For the pageant, Sarah’s advocacy was centered on the Lingkod LGBT for the 1st District of Bulacan.

An unapologetic Thomasian and a licensed teacher, Sarah graduated from UST with a Bachelor degree in Secondary Education, major in Social Studies, and also a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences. Sarah has hosted several events in Bulacan and became an active member of a movement that caters to people who are in need. One of the projects she handled was entertainment by holding variety/game shows in the different districts. She also aims to be an inspirational/motivational speaker, and enjoys talking to people immensely.

Sarah is originally from Manila, but currently resides in Balagtas, Bulacan. She is also a volleyball trainer.

Philippines last won Miss United Continents in the year 2016 when Jeslyn Santos was crowned Miss United Continents 2016. Will Sarah be able to register Philippines’ second win at the Miss United Continents pageant?
