It’s been a year since Donald Trump sold out the Miss Universe Organisation, but it seems like his presence is here to stay. Alicia Machado, a former Miss Universe claimed in an interview with Inside Edition that she was shamed publicly by Donald Trump, who called her “Miss Piggy”, after she gained weight.

Alicia Machado was crowned Miss Universe in the year 1996. Machado was featured in a recent New York Times as one of the women detailing Trump’s treatment to women in the workplace. She revealed that the GOP nominee bullied her “all the time.” “For sure, he is not a good person,” Machado said.

What was humiliating was that Trump publicly called Machado an “eating machine” to radio host Howard Stern. As per Machado, Trump insisted she lose weight and took her to work out at a gym in front of a large media gathering.
As per the magazine Inside Edition Trump said, “She weighed 118 pounds or 117 pounds and she went to 160 or 170,”. “So this is somebody that likes to eat.”
Machado claimed this treatment by Trump ruined her self-esteem and she also shared that Donald Trump even mocked her inability to speak English, and used to call her “Miss Housekeeping”.
With all these reports and claims it seems like there is too much going on, both inside and outside, in the Miss Universe Organisation. Controversy’s favourite child has to be the Miss Universe Pageant.
