Miss Universe 2005 Natalie Glebova calls herself the best source to train Miss Universe from Myanmar

30 Dec 2017 | Irina Silva

Miss Universe 2005, Natalia Vladimirovna Glebova calls herself an Empowerist, and rightfully so. Working tirelessly, this mother of one opened Empowered Club, a place to teach young women to master an empowering mindset & competent life skills, so they can happily achieve their goals in life - from the greatest mentors in the world! She is not only giving these young girls confidence but also providing them with an aim to achieve great heights in life.

So, if such an empowering personality says that she could easily train the next Miss Universe candidate from Thailand, we truly believe she can. During an interview with a local news channel the beauty said, "Please, the (Miss Universe Thailand) Organization knows how to reach me, I'm your best resource for training the girl on how to win. If next year they come to me and ask me to train Miss Thailand, I guarantee that you will have the third Miss Universe from Thailand."

In the recently held Miss Universe 2017, Maria Lynn Ehren was a part of Top 5 but failed to enter the Top 3 after the Question and Answer round. Though her answer was impressive in the said round where she was asked by the host Steve Harvey, “What do you think has been the most important social movement of your generation, and why?”

She answered, “I think the most important social movement we are having is the ageing population. So, youth has the important role to play.  The youth is the future. The youth is something we have to invest in because they are ones who are going to look after the Earth that we live in,” but this answer failed to place her in Top 3.

Though Thailand got its prominent place in Miss Universe pageant after 29 years of long wait this year with Maria Lynn Ehren but certainly something was lacking in totality. In such scenario, if a former Miss Universe comes forward and offers her help, we believe it is fantastic opportunity for the country and the pageant organizers.

Talking about the lovely Natalia, her life has been an adventurous journey after her win in 2005. From travelling extensively to increase awareness of HIV and AIDS, along with other social causes like poverty, ending gang activities, drug cartels etc. to attending many VIP events related to entertainment and politics. She became a face of many brand endorsements while also turned into an author in 2007 with her first book Healthy Happy Beautiful, which turned out to be a major best seller. This was followed by a product line, called “Natalie by BSC”, of food supplements sold in Thailand, where she currently resides.

Natalie is also into modelling and has worked with Elite Model Management (South East Asia Division). She has walked the runway for big brands such as Escada, Salvatore Ferragamo, Versace, Guy Laroche and ADIDAS. She has done print modelling for GUESS lingerie, Mouawad jewellery, and graced the cover of many international fashion magazines.

At the age of 35, in 2006, she got promoted to being a mother of a lovely baby girl; she has been multi-tasking successfully, raising her daughter beautifully while simultaneously working towards emancipating young women to achieve their goals through Empowering Club.

Though there came a difficult time in her life when she got separated from her husband after a marriage of four years, but that didn’t deter this beautiful soul from achieving great heights in life and inspiring women all over the world to follow her footsteps.

From her early days, this beauty has been on a constant move, from being born in Russia to moving to Toronto, Canada at a young of 13. When no one believed that she could win Miss Universe Canada in 2005, she proved her cynics wrong and snared the Canadian crown along with the crown of Miss Universe 2005. After moving to New York as Miss Universe in her reigning year to shifting her base to Thailand later on, this go-getter doesn’t believe in stopping. And if such a personality wants to train the next girl to represent Thailand in Miss Universe 2018, then it’s a golden opportunity and we would love to watch this gracious queen embarking this new journey of her life.
