Ximena Navarrete won the title of Miss Universe for the second time for Mexico in 2010 breaking a long winning drought of 19 years for the country. Previously Lupita Jones won the pageant in 1991 for the first time.
Today, on her special day, we would like to talk about the accomplishments of this beautiful Mexican diva who has not only achieved tremendous success since her crowning but has also created a brand for herself which only a few achieve in their lives.
Ximena Navarrete, born on 22nd February 1988, was raised in a family of four and had a younger sister. Right at the age of sixteen, she began modelling but also studied nutrition at the Valle de Atemajac University.
After being crowned Nuestra Belleza Mexico in 2009, she went on to become Miss Universe 2010, a feat only one Mexican woman had achieved before her.

In 2012, she achieved a huge milestone in her life as she was invited to join the jury of Miss Universe 2012 pageant and elect the queen. Ximena was also a presenter at Latin Grammy Awards of 2010 and 2013.
In 2013, Ximena also debuted in a telenovela ‘La tempestad’ where she played twins role as Marina Reverte and Magdalena Artigas. She is also a spokesperson of L’Oreal Paris and Old Navy.
From then till now, a lot has changed in our former Miss Universe’s life. Last year, Ximena tied the knot with her long time beau Juan Carlos Valladares, giving us major wedding goals feels.
From Jalisco, Mexico, Ximena is a well-known actress today who has worked in acclaimed movies such as 108 Costuras, The Tempest (2013) and Estrella2 (2012). She has also been a presenter at Late Show with David Letterman (2010), América celebra a Chespirito (2012), Nuestra Belleza México 2014.
