Miss Universe 2012 First Runner-up Janine Tugonon is on Cloud 9 these days. And why shouldn’t she be? The former Filipino beauty is in line with Victoria’s Secret model and what more? Janine becomes the first full blooded Filipino model to have achieved that level.
Janine, who is currently based in the US, has posed for various editorials and also ads for Wells Fargo and Walmart. Tugonon’s queen’s latest gig with the iconic fashion brand is with Pink, VS’ new line of fashion clothes for college women. Janine was featured as one of the models in a VS Pink commercial titled "That College Life," which shows living through the challenges of college life.

In the video, Janine is seen dancing, running to class, and taking selfies with other models, all decked out in VS Pink gear. In her Twitter account, Janine clarified that she is not a Victoria’s Secret Angel and was just a model in their ad.
Janine tweeted a thank you message as well for all the support and messages she has been receiving.
Tugonon left the Philippines in 2013 to chase her pharmacological studies. She now lives in the United States and is busy with her modelling stints for several brands. Janine’s beauty pageant journey is interesting and something worth mentioning. Janine Tugonon had to join Binibining Pilipinas twice after losing to a friend in 2011. She won herself the title of Miss Universe Philippines in 2012 and went on to represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2012 pageant. Janine is now based in the US and pursuing her dream of becoming a model.

So far there have only been quite a few Asians who have modeled for Victoria Secret, including Sui He, Shu Pei, and Liu Wen from China, Dau Kim from South Korea and Ujjwala Raut from India.
