The much awaited event of Miss Universe 2014 is going to be the 63rd Miss Universe pageant. The glorious occasion is scheduled to take place on 25 January, 2015 at the US Century Bank Arena at Florida International University in Doral, Miami, Florida, USA. There are going to be a total of 88 contestants, competing for the enviable title. Delegates from each country were chosen respectively in their relevant national pageants or castings held between January 2013 to December 2014. As the beauties from all over the world are flying off for the big night, the hotness meter is about to rise in Florida. Prior to the Final Gala Night, the contestants will be competing in the preliminary rounds that will involve interview sessions with the judges and a presentation show where they compete in their respective costumes.

Under the segment of Special Awards, all the eighty-eight candidates get to vote for who according to them is the friendliest and most like-able contender in their lot. The candidate with the maximum votes is tagged as Miss Congeniality. Then there is another series of event, wherein all the eighty-eight contestants will compete with one another in their national costumes. They will be representing their nation and their native lands, through which a panel of judges unanimously will pick the best costume. The National Costume Competition will commence on the 21st of January. The winners of these awards will be announced during the live telecast of the final night.

Nineteen ladies, placed highest in these competition move ahead to the semifinals, and the announcement will be done during the pageant night. One candidate will be selected by a special fan vote; under which viewers all across the world can vote online for their favorite candidates and who they think should enter the semifinals. The top five contestants with the highest scores will advance to compete in the final question signed up by a panel of judges.
Gabriela Isler, Miss Universe 2013 from Venezuela, will pass along the coveted title and crown her successor at the end of the event. The winner of the pageant will get to wear the magnificent crown made by Diamonds International Corporation, a Czech based jeweler.
