Another big international pageant is about to culminate into a big night of glamour and victory as the 65th edition of the Miss Universe 2016 beauty contest comes to an end with the crowning of another beautiful queen. As everyone is excited to watch the finale, see the Miss Universe 2015 take her final walk before she passes on her crown to one of the contestants, the organisation has announced something very interesting. Pia Wurtzbach will host the Miss Universe Preliminary Competition with Derek Ramsay, a popular Filipino-British model, actor, and host.

The preliminary competition of the Miss Universe 2016 pageant is scheduled to be held on 26th January 2017, just a few days before the finals. As contestants are very thrilled for the swimwear and evening gown rounds, the reigning queen is getting butterflies in her belly with the thought of giving up her crown. Through, the beauty queen had an extended reign, luckily, her fans have still not got enough of her. With this thought, the organisation has decided to make her the co host at the preliminary rounds.
The two preliminary rounds will be broadcasted on TV 5. Interested fans of the beauty and the international pageant can watch the swimsuit competition on 28th January at 9:30 pm and the evening gown competition on 29th January at 8:45 pm. The competitions will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, the Philippines.
Kat de Castro, the Undersecretary of Tourism Advocacy and Public Affairs of the Philippine Department of Tourism, had earlier expressed, "We have high hopes for Pia Wurtzbach to take a major part in the show and not just pass on her crown I hope so — Why not! she's a good host and she's proved herself again and again, she's hosted a lot of segments in the U.S."

"Paula Shugart loves Pia. Everybody in Miss Universe loves Pia. Let's just wait for their announcement, but of course it would bring us so much honour here in the Philippines if she is considered as a main co-host," continued the famous Filipino journalist.
The wish has come true. This is the time for all the beauty fans who want to catch just some more gorgeous glimpses of the beauty before her reign comes to a final end.
