The reigning Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach got the awesome chance to meet one of the pageant veterans, and it was none other than Gabriela Isler, Miss Universe 2013.
Both the Miss Universe beauties got to rub shoulders during a fashion charity event for Cordaid, one of the Miss Universe partner organizations, held on May 4’ 2016 (Wednesday).

Queen Pia took to her official Instagram handle to express her happiness on meeting the former queen, and wrote: "I still fan girl over the former title-holders when I see them. My intro is always "OMG I'm a fan!" This is what happens to you when you watch Miss Universe over and over for years and the funny little things we talked about like "so my room was your room?" Priceless! Bummed that we didn't see [Ara Arida]! Next time [Molly Isler] is so nice and regal! Love her oh and did you know she was one of the judges the year that i didn't make it in Miss Philippines? She says everything happens for a reason. God's perfect timing."
On the other hand, Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler wrote – "It was so lovely to finally meet you Pia! Wishing you all the best! Enjoy the journey! Definitely God have a lot more coming for you!! You deserve it. Love and Blessings, Gabby."

It was a special encounter for reigning Miss Universe and former Miss Universe, although both the beauties have met each other during the grand coronation of Binibining Pilipinas 2014 which saw Mary Jean Lastimosa crowned winner of the Miss Universe Philippines 2014 pageant.
This reunion was an unforgettable moment, not only for the beauties, but also their fans across the nation.
