Lisa Punch Miss World Guyana 2015 awarded with a ‘Recognition Award’

Lisa Punch, Miss World Guyana 2015, who is acknowledged globally for her great singing ability, has been recently awarded with an esteemed ‘Recognition Award’ for representing Guyana on the international stage.

The award ceremony of third annual Guyana International Artistic Music Awards 2016 event was held on May 1’ 2016 at the National Cultural Center in Georgetown, Guyana.

However, the songster Lisa Punch was unable to receive the award in person, as she was busy attending an international audience at the 2016 Humanitarian Awards in Jersey. She slayed the international audience with her magical voice as she sang the sensational song.

The Guyananese talented beauty queen Lisa continued to rise winning the talent round of the esteemed  Miss World 2015 pageant, singing to millions around the globe.

Lisa’s father picked up the award on the gala night, due to Lisa being in the UK for the Variety Humanitarian Awards, which saw honouring Miss World CEO Julia Morley with the lifetime achievement award.

Lisa Punch took to her official Instagram handle to exhibit her coveted award. Posting a picture of her award she also thanked her father for receiving the award on her behalf.

The vocal diva wrote on social media after the awards - “My first Music Award… Thank you @guyanamusicawards for this amazing award! I am absolutely humbled and honoured! Thanks to my father for accepting it on my behalf.

The 22-year-old Guyanese queen completed her secondary education at the North Georgetown Secondary School and the Bishops’ High School in Guyana.

Lisa started a career in broadcasting and theatre just after leaving school, and worked with NCN Radio before moving on to 94.1 Boom FM, where she hosted a number of shows and served as an Entertainment correspondent.
