Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach added another feather to her cap as she becomes the first Miss Universe to be featured at the digital edition of the prestigious Arab Fashion Week. The beauty queen will be opening the Arab Fashion Week on 24th March 2021 while wearing the avant-garde creation of fellow Filipino Furne One of Amato Couture, known as the "King of Couture" in Dubai.
The five-minute fashion film that stars Pia Wurtzbach is directed to pay homage to a life which is beyond earth and is an exploration to the unknown dimensions of life; a new beginning or a life after death. For this magical fashion film starring the beautiful Miss Universe 2015; Dubai-based director Alex Suhorucov designed an imaginary world set in Sharjah’s Buhais Geology Park or also known as Mars in the UAE and is known for its out-of-this-world rock formation and geological landscape.
During an interview, Ian Borromeo; Yugen PR Dubai managing director mentioned that Dubai-based PR, marketing, and talent agency had an exclusive deal with the former beauty queen and are thrilled to work with her in the Middle East market. “We look forward to all wonderful projects lined up for her in this part of the world where there are four Million Filipinos as well as millions of beauty pageant fans from this part of the world,” added Ian.
Ian further mentioned that everybody knows Pia Wurtzbach loves to travel and her love for fashion and beauty is also known to people across the world and keeping all of this in mind, the Arab Fashion Week team has created content for brands that have a powerful voice and uphold just like Pia. The magazine is creating nine iconic cover photos of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and posted a few of the pictures on their social media with a caption, “This 2021, we give tribute to the queen who brought back the light, kindness and hope as she dares to reach new heights in her purpose-driven life beyond the Universe.”
“I am excited to see what I can do to connect and hopefully influence my community through all the works and activities lined up for me for the rest of the year.” Pia said. The collection includes over-the-top ruffled gowns with soft laces, leather finishing and flowy ostrich faux feathers.
