Former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach turns businesswoman launching her store in Alabang

The Filipina beauty Pia Wurtzbach was crowned Miss Universe 2015 on 20th December 2015 in Las Vegas, United States. Post her reign as Miss Universe she made her acting comeback after six years as she appeared in a film under production of Star Cinema. She also served as a judge during the final coronation night of Miss Universe 2017.

After her stint in the pageant and entertainment industry, the diva shifted her focus towards entrepreneurship and desired to open milk tea stores in collaboration with her friends. Pia mentioned that in 2020, she would focus on getting involved in different business ventures as she wants to expand her knowledge and explore different sides to her entrepreneur skills.

According to recent news, Pia along with her girlfriends; actress Pauleen Luna and chef Nina Almoro has launched her ‘Bestea’ milk store situated at a mall in Alabang. She explains this turn of events a ‘nerve-wrecking process’ as it is something out of the box for the former Miss Universe.

The former beauty pageant title holder Pia makes sure that every risk she takes has been calculated beforehand. She stated, “I’m also conservative where I try not to put too much risk that I’ll lose a lot. I think I’m finding that nice balance. Everything counts as a fun learning experience”. On asking for any more future ventures, the diva mentioned that she’s looking to open more branches of her first business venture along with working closely with a makeup line.

“I have a collaboration with the brand. Hopefully, that will grow bigger. Stay tuned on this and other businesses in the works!” she teased. The beauty queen-turned-actress also said she would resume working with the US-based DeviantArt, an online community for artists and art enthusiasts.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach recently visited Indonesia to promote the importance of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) testing and was a member of jury for Puteri Indonesia 2020. She shared the limelight with other international beauty queens during her trip.

Pia said HIV testing is part of self-love and self-care. “Always remember: HIV testing is part of self-love and self-care, as well as caring for your loved ones. It should be a normal health check-up.”She visited Puskesmas Jatinegara, a comprehensive and integrated primary health centre in Jakarta where she met their health workers and patients.
