After a successful week of New York Fashion Week 2016, Pia Wurtzbach is back to her duties and responsibilities as Miss Universe 2015. On February 24’ 2016, Pia attended a meeting with the team of GMHC to discuss the agendas and measures to prevent HIV/AIDS in the LGBT community.

Pia shared about the meeting and expressed herself on her official twitter handle and said, “I had my first meeting with GMHC today and am looking forward to supporting the great work they do to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS in the LGBT community. I’m proud to be an advocate for this worthwhile and empowering cause.”

The GMHC Organisation was also grateful towards the Miss Universe beauty and expressed their gratitude by sharing, “Our thanks to @MissUniverse Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach who visited us to learn about our services & issues of HIV & AIDS.”

During the finals of Miss Universe 2015, Pia Wurtzbach confessed that she will work towards eradicating the problem of HIV/ AIDS and deal with the critical issues of the problem. And, the lady has been abiding by her statement. She even announced that she would get publicly tested in New York, as a step towards decreasing the taboo about the HIV and AIDS.
