Miss Earth India India is putting in tremendous efforts to make India beam with pride! As stated by the owner of Miss Earth India, Mr Pradeep Maithani, the pageant's very first audition will take place on Feb 27, 2016 in New Delhi, India.
According to sources, the girls will be selected by Mr Pradeep Maithani along with a group of international grooming experts who have produced 2 Miss Earth winners, 1 from Denmark & other one from Czech Republic, and Cheryl T Hansen of Singapore.

It is for the first time in the history of Indian pageantry that an organization is putting in so much effort to make the pageant a huge success along with working for a noble cause.
The national pageant of Miss Earth for India is being conducted by Growbiz Consult Pte. Ltd. for the year 2016, to which Carousel Productions, the owner of Miss Earth, awarded the franchise to Ms. Cheryl T Hansen & appointed director Mr. Pradeep Maithani in 2016.

The winner of the contest will be given the title of Miss Earth India. The previous franchise holder for Miss Earth in India in 2015 was Glamanand Supermodel India. Prior to that it was Femina Miss India, where the title was named "Femina Miss India Earth".
The reigning Miss Earth India is Aaital Khosla from Chandigarh. She is the first Miss Earth India under Glamanand and was crowned on 4 November 2015 at Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Gurgaon.
