The Miss Universe 2017 contest is in full swing with various events happening like the grand opening, fittings, photo shoots, rehearsals and what not. Amongst all this, we saw the Grand National Costume round that took place at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino Mezzanine, Las Vegas, USA.

It was an event of glitz and glamour as the 90 contestants from all over the globe adorned prestigious national costumes that signified their nation’s culture and tradition.

While all the girls rocked the stage with their imposing presence, we have our Top 5 favourites whose attitude, costume and ramp walk set the stage on fire.

Zun Than Sin of Myanmar wore a majestic costume that quickly became the crowd’s favourite. She came, she conquered through this huge costume that signified Myanmar’s traditional orchestra. She definitely topped our list.

Rachel Peters from Philippines was a lethal sight to behold, with her attitude and smile. She adorned a sizzling golden dress with wings attached. It was a modern twist of the legendary Sarimanok and a symbol of good fortune for the Maranao people.

This beautiful and colourful dress of Gleisy Noguer Hassen from Bolivia made us smile instantly.

Thailand’s Maria Lynn Ehren adorned a dress by Designer Prapakas. The theme of this lovely costume was Chasing of Light.
