The crystals are added to represent the morning dew. The designers explain that they used the model’s legs as stem of the flower and added a headdress that is made in three-dimensional prints to complete the look.

The designing and development of the costume took eight months. Engineer, two designers apart from the main designer and ten people were responsible to apply crystals throughout the dress. The dress has a built-in device with Bluetooth technology, which will produce the sound of the coqui while the Puerto Rican model is on stage.
