Even though it’s too early to predict anything, if the rumour mill is to be believed, the next destination of Miss Universe will be South Korea. The 68th edition of Miss Universe will again be held in Asia, according to former Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis ‘Chavit’ Singson.

Luis Singson revealed the international pageant’s venue for next year in a radio interview last week. He added that the pageant venue will be good for Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray’s exposure. He explained, “I have been helping with Miss Universe for a long time. Ever since I was a sponsor, I have been helping them each year. I also helped have it held in Bangkok.”

If it is also to be believed, Miss Universe will also witness for the first time a North Korean representative in the international pageant. The rumours were fueled up more when Catriona Gray, Philippines’ fourth Miss Universe winner, arrived via Singson's private jet at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and was swarmed by photographers and members of the media. She was accompanied by Miss Universe staff, Singson, and his daughter Richelle, who was one of the judges in the pageant.

With the effort to promote tourism in the country, Luis ‘Chavit’ Singson has not only sparked the rumours but also that he is to host a separate pageant of Miss Universe Philippines, breaking the franchise from Binibining Pilipinas.
