Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi is back in Johannesburg, South Africa after crowning her successor Andrea Meza of Mexico at the finale of Miss Universe 2020 held on 16th May 2021 in Florida, USA. Being the longest reigning Miss Universe, Zozibini was staying in New York during her reign.

Reminiscing her journey as the Universe queen, Zozibini cried the whole time during her finale walk. Zozibini could not travel during her reign for the organization and her charity work like she wanted to because of the on-going global pandemic.

“It was so emotional doing that crowning and the walkout. I had been Miss Universe for a year and a half, it had become who I am. It feels like a closed chapter, there were so many emotions, it was bittersweet. Sweet because of new things and beginnings”

As soon as Zozibini Tunzi reached her home country, the first thing she did was meet her family as she had not seen them for six months. “Now we ready for the next chapter, whatever that is.” Zozi said in a recent interview, but she can not say as yet what those plans are, as they are still in the works and with her contract obligations. The only thing she surely knows is that she will continue with her humanitarian work because that is very close to Tunzi’s heart.

Zozibini Tunzi has been quite vocal with her singing talents with pageant fanatics wondering if she would pursue a singing career in the future. “It is definitely one of the things that are in the works. Music and television are just some of the many things in the mix”, she remarked.

Is there a possibility of Zozibini shifting her base to USA permanently? Zozibini has not put the move of the question, but it makes more sense to be in Africa for now with her present plans.
