Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray from the Philippines crowned the beauty queen at the end of the event finale and she became the third representative from South Africa to win the title and the first black woman to win the title since Leila Lopes who was crowned in 2011.

The diva’s career as a model began in 2017 when she was accepted as top 26 semi-finalists at Miss South Africa but wasn’t placed. She returned as a contender for Miss South Africa 2019 and was crowned as the winner at the end of the event finale.

The beauty queen from South Africa always had an aura that attracted people towards her and she was able to impress everyone with her confidence and strong personality. Her performance at Miss Universe 2019 was appreciated by everyone and her final answer managed to do the rest and she was crowned as Miss Universe 2019 at the end of the event finale. Zozi had plans and ideas on how she wants to use the opportunity given to her and make a significant change in society as she raised the voice against gender-based violence and wanted to make people aware about the same but the pandemic put all her plans on hold.

Since the entire world went under lockdown, Zozi had no choice but to use the power of social media to make a change and keep doing what she believes in. She decided to speak to the former beauty queens about various on-going issues, their advocacies, their experiences, and so much more which was highly appreciated by everyone across the world. The beauty queen did not fear away in standing up against the violence against black people and took to her social media to make people aware of what is happening around the world and she also used the power of media to make everyone aware and normalize the topic when it comes to LGBTQ during the pride month.

As of today, Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa completes 465 days of her reign and becomes the beauty queen with the longest reign till now. She is not only loved by everyone but also looked up as an inspiration as she has motived and encouraged young people to acquire the space they deserve and have always tried to make a change in the community with her actions. Zozibini Tunzi has also received some amount of backlash for not being able to carry out her crown duties as planned but the way she used her time to talk about things that needed attention, the pageant fanatics believe that only a courageous beauty queen could do that and Zozibini is truly a one.

Miss South Africa's organization posted a video on their official social media page celebrating the legacy of Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi and appreciating her for whatever she has done and will be doing after her reign ends. She will be crowning her successor in May 2021 in the United States but will be remembered as the beauty queen with the longest reign in the history of Miss Universe and the one who survived the pandemic and made a difference in society.

Congratulations queen!
