The 8th edition of Miss Grand International, i.e., Miss Grand International 2020, is all set to be held on 27th March 2021 in Bangkok, Thailand where stunning beauties from all over the globe will compete for the international crown. Miss Grand International 2019 Valentina Figuera will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
While this year’s batch boasts of stunning and talented beauties, there are a few ladies who have stood out amongst the rest and show the immense capability to be the winner of the 2020 edition. In a series of features, we’d love to introduce to you our Top 15 favourite contestants for the crown.
Nguyen Le Ngoc Thao, adjudged as the second runner-up at Miss Vietnam 2020, is representing the country at Miss Grand International 2020. Ngoc Thao loves fashion and cat walking and started her journey to be a beauty queen quite early. She is 20-years-old and stands 174 cm tall. Thao is currently studying in second year of Business Administration Faculty of Hutech University, Ho Chi Minh City.
During the Miss Vietnam 2020 competition she was asked, “I make a bird sing, I make a flower I merge into chorus, a low Fluttering Note. You want to be a single stand-alone note or note in the ensemble?” to which she answered, “Whether it’s a single note or a note in a concert, I will shine in my own way. Just like in life, no one can choose the position of my own but still shine.”
After winning the title of Miss Grand Vietnam 2020, Nguyen Le Ngoc Thao stated that joining Miss Vietnam was a childhood dream of hers. She explains how her family has always been very supportive and encourages her to have the most comfortable spirit on the stage.
Being able to represent her country at an international level elates her and she feels happy that she has fulfilled her ambition and beauty pageants have helped her to gain confidence and focus towards her goal. She explains that in her country “the voice of a title holder is more powerful” which allows her to “help and care about more people. After all we all deserve to be happy, that is why we need to smile a little more every day.”
With her infectious smile, this Vietnamese beauty is full of knowledge, morality and creativity. She is young, confident, determined, full of positivity and dedicated towards making her country and the people of Vietnam proud. Nguyen Le Ngoc Thao says, “My smile is why I am here and the crown is my goal at Miss Grand International 2020.”
