Israel is all set to host the 70th edition of Miss Universe as the organization made the announcement just hours ago that the pageant will be held in December in the southern resort city of Eilat. Steve Harvey is also going to return to the pageant as the host.

The organization wrote, “70 YEARS! The 70th #MISSUNIVERSE competition is heading to ....Eilat, Israel! MISS UNIVERSE will air live around the world December 2021. Stay tuned for more information or visit missuniverse.com.”

The three-hour event will broadcast live on Fox in the U.S. and also in 180 countries and territories across the globe. Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza of Mexico will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. She will be holding the shortest reign as Miss Universe.

The reigning beauty queen has been encouraging people to get covid-19 vaccine as she hopes “as many people as possible” get vaccinated so they can participate in the 70th Miss Universe contest. Andrea is also women’s rights advocate who wishes to bring a change in the world. Who is excited for the 70th edition?
