The national organization of Miss Diva also congratulated the queen as they wrote, “Make way for your new Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu! India wins the title of Miss Universe after 21 years! We can’t wait to welcome you back home Harnaaaz!!! With less than 2 months to prepare. Harnaaz has managed to surprise the nation with her passion and talent for the Universe platform and today she has created history!”
Creating history as Harnaaz broke the spell of 21 years for her country, this one is definitely an iconic win. In 1994, Sushmita Sen won Miss Universe 1994, becoming the country's first ever Miss Universe titleholder. Six years later, Lara Dutta replicated the feast marking her win as Miss Universe 2000. In the last years, India has gained a high placement as Vartika Singh placed in Top 20 in Miss Universe 2019. In the next year, Adline Castelino placed as the 3rd runner-up at Miss Universe 2020. Harnaaz Sandhu has now become the third Indian to win the Miss Universe crown.
Congratulations queen!
